Guaranteed fun tobogganing in Tyrol

A winter sport for everyone

There are plenty of opportunities for tobogganing in Tyrol. Some particularly impressive ones can be found in Defereggen Valley. The fun starts for the whole family right there where only rustic mountain huts and farms line the path and the countryside is covered in metres of snow!

The really wonderful thing about tobogganing in Tyrol is that you are surrounded by nature and it does not require any previous knowledge. As you hike to the start of the toboggan run you experience the magic of the wintry landscape and gather fantastic impressions. Once you've arrived at the top, you're rewarded with a treat from Austrian cuisine at the restaurants: Schlipfkrapfen, Kaspressknödel or Kaiserschmarrn are on almost all the mountain inn menus. Afterwards you can start tobogganing in Tyrol at last: jump onto the toboggan and glide over the snow back down to the valley. One or two skilful manoeuvres are of course required but it's great fun for both the young and old!
